About Fredric
Fredric is 61 years old and lives in Talent Oregon on the banks of Wagner Creek. He grew up in New York City, and has lived in Oregon more than thirty years. He is a licensed clinical social worker, and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. His working life has been devoted to human services.
He is retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs in White City, Oregon. Previously, he worked at Jackson County Shelter and Evaluation Center, OnTrack Counseling, Star Gulch Ranch (a residential program for teens), and Farnham Youth Development Center (Now Farnham Family Services, a medically supervised outpatient drug and alcohol treatment, intervention and prevention clinic) in Oswego, New York. Presently, he is a counselor for the Ashland-Talent conference of Saint Vincent De Paul, Help Now Advocacy Center in Medford Oregon, and Southern Oregon Stand Down in White City Oregon. He also co-hosts a local community radio station show called “Community Connections” on KSKQ in Ashland Oregon.
Fredric specializes in advocacy for people with mental illness. He also assists the mentally ill and their families as an instructor for NAMI (Southern Oregon).
Fredric loves people, and believes that forming a relationship with clients and peers is essential to the help he can provide. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his social work practice and can provide surprising resources and strategies to assist his clients.
